Water Supply
Water Purification Unit (WPU) Nuclear Biological & Chemical (NBC) Saline and Sea Water Transfer System

The Corps of Royal Engineers have the role of supplying water, and can use the WPU (NBC Saline) to provide the ability to be able to turn severely brackish or saline (salt) water into potable (drinkable) water.
The Royal Engineers are able to sustain themselves on operations, where there is a need to use sea water as a water source.
Cuplock Water Tower Set
Members of 39 Engineer Regiment building the cuplock tower for the gate sentry
The Cuplock Tower set consists of steel tubes that can be rapidly constructed into a water tower for placing water storage tanks on.
This allows water supply points to be feed from the tank, on the tower, via gravity.
The steel tubes are joined together by using a twist locking connector (cuplock).
