The 494 Marathon Des Sables Team In April 2005 four members of 33 Engineer Regiment (EOD) will enter the Marathon Des Sables. This race has gained a reputation as the toughest of endurance challenges in the most inhospitable of conditions. The team will spend six gruelling days of long distance running in the blistering heat of the Sahara Desert, running the equivalent of two full ‘normal’ marathons on one of the days. |

Sponsored Run for EOD Casualties Children The Army's Joint Explosive Ordnance Group ran from Basra Airport to Kuwait Airport, a distance of about 118 miles, at the end of May 2003. The Bomb Disposal Unit that has lost three Soldiers while serving on Operation TELIC in Iraq is holding a sponsored run to raise money for the men's children. |
