The British Army has claimed a prize for the Best project within an organisation at this year's Government Computing BT Awards for Innovation, for its Website ArmyNET –www.armynet.mod.uk. It was recognised that in designing ArmyNET, the British Army has harnessed IT to enhance its world-wide reach, its contribution to keeping its Service personnel better informed, in maintaining morale and in keeping soldiers in touch with relatives at home.

ArmyNET can be thought of as a Business Tool for the average soldier. ArmyNET provides the information a soldier needs, whenever he needs it. ArmyNET is accessible from any internet connected computer 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
What do you need to do to register?
To register for an account couldn't be simpler. Just go to http://www.armynet.mod.uk and click on one of the two Register buttons, alternatively click either the Register link or the Guest Registration link below.
Register
If you are a member of the British Army and don't have an ArmyNET account use the register link. You will be asked for some basic service details, such as rank, name etc and your National Insurance number.
Guest Registration
If you are related to a member of the British Army and don't have an ArmyNET account use the Guest Registration link.
Number of Registered Users
ArmyNET has 90,000+ registered users and this is growing all the time as more and more people learn the benefits of using it.
