Association And Benevolent Fund The RASC and RCT Association was a result of the formation of The Royal Corps of Transport but can be traced back to the first South African Wars in the 18th Century. The first major development was in 1927 when The Royal Army Service Corps Clubs merged to form the RASC Association. There are 65 branches nation-wide in addition to the Tank Transporter and Air Despatch Branches. The Association’s objectives is to foster esprit de corps and provide grants to those members, wives and families in need.
The Benevolent Fund is one of the largest Army ex-service funds and seeks to help those who have served in the RASC and RCT. Cases are usually investigated on behalf of the fund by SSAFA or The Royal British Legion.
