WEB MAINTENANCE PROCESS:

Management of this web site is based on the principle of decentralised authoring and centralised publishing & content management.

All content is owned by nominated sponsors/authors - all pages will indicate the content sponsor and the date the content was last updated.

All sponsors/authors must be authorised by SO2 Information Plans at Headquarters Provost Marshal (Army).

Web content is to be reviewed by sponsors at a minimum of once every three months. The Webmaster will personally review content over 6 months old and at this time content sponsors may well be contacted as part of this process, and updates sought where appropriate.

If new content is not provided then the relevent pages will be deleted from the site. Authored material is only to be forwarded to the Provost Webmaster.

The Provost Webmaster is responsible for routine maintenance - the testing of navigation links and other hyperlinks etc.

WEB DEVELOPMENT PROCESS:

Our view is that this should be a user-centric site, however, this needs to be balanced by a requirement for appropriate site governance. This is a an official MOD site and our content, including the sites we decide to link with, will reflect this.

The Provost web team encourages user feedback on this site. This may include new ideas for content and linked sites, constructive criticism, design ideas and new authors. Web development is subject to a strict change management process. The webmaster is authorised to manage minor change issues. More fundamental change issues will be referred to SO2 Information Plans, Headquarters Provost Marshal (Army) for a decision. All feedback messages will be acknowledged and originators kept informed of progress regarding issues raised.
