Team REME is the collective name given to the Corps Enduro team. We normally enter 3 teams (A, B and C - 3 riders per team) into ll rounds of the British Enduro Championship (BEC) and other selected events. While the A and B teams are given full support in the form of motorcycles, tyres, spares, oils, clothing and entry fees, the C team is given limited support and have to ride their own motorcycles. Selection for the A and B teams is based upon commitment and performance and is the responsibility of the Team Manager (SSgt Neil Hesleton) and Corps Secretary (Major Mike Tizard).

We would simply not be able to operate without a committed and hardworking support team. Led by SSgt Al Cook the support team comprises several individuals, all of which are volunteers, who carry out a wide variety of tasks. Refuelling, tyre changing, carrying out running repairs and even providing warm drinks are just some of the tasks in their portfolio.

The Team's Assets:

Motorcycles. The team have been Yamaha mounted since 2002 and we currently have a total of 6 machines of different capacities and engine types to allow the individual riders to compete in a number of classes. Due to the durability and competitiveness of the Yamaha product, the team will continue to ride Yamaha for the foreseeable future and benefit from the opportunity to purchase ex-ISDE machines at considerably reduced prices.

Support Trailer. In 2004 a support trailer was purchased to allow the support equipment to remain in a packed state and thus assist in loading time. The trailer has been adorned in REME livery and acts as a focal point for the team at events.

We are justly proud of our achievements and are looking good for the future. During competition we have consistently outperformed our competitors, and have represented at the highest level in both Enduro and Trials disciplines. We should not lose sight of the fact that it is the hard work and commitment of our riders, support crew and management that has led to us to be, at time of going to press, currently the best service team and the one to watch...
