ROYAL ELECTRICAL AND MECHANICAL ENGINEERS • MUSEUM OF TECHNOLOGY
The Museum displays illustrates REME's contribution to military engineering since October 1942. The new Poperinghe Guardroom opened in 2004 is now the Museum entrance; it also houses the REME Association Shop and the Museum Cafe.

Your visit starts with the Provo' Sergeant in Poperinghe Guardroom and a look in the cells, then a walk through General Rowcroft's office before you come to the medal room.
The main displays show the changing Trades of the craftsmen of the Army reflecting the developing technology of the time.

The Prince Philip Vehicle Hall opened in 1999 and houses 20 of the REME historic Vehicle Fleet and a helicopter, some set in their field of operation.
The REME Armourers' Hall is now open to the public showing the development of small arms from Matchlock Musket to Vickers Machine Gun, the first weapon of mass destruction.
The 'James Johnston' Room houses new displays which show REME involvement in electronics and the repair and testing of Army radio equipment.
The REME Museum of Technology houses the Corps Archives, has a flourishing Education Service and hosts a calendar of family friendly activities and events.
