RHQ REME is responsible for the day to day running and co-ordination of REME regimental affairs.

The Regimental Colonel REME is responsible to DEME(A) and the Representative Colonel Commandants for recruiting, junior officer training, the REME Association, the REME Benevolent Fund, the Corps Secretariat, the REME Museum and the production of The Craftsman Magazine and the REME Journal.

The REME Museum of Technology is located by the main entrance to Hazebrouck Barracks and its displays illustrate the Corps’ history since 1942.

REME trades and equipment are displayed in the main museum with the Prince Phillip Exhibition Hall displaying 20 specialist vehicles in their theatres of operation.

The formation of the HQ DEME(A) organisation in Arborfield, the home location of the Corps of REME, was a significant change which presented considerable opportunity to provide stronger representation of the Corps' interests within the Army.

The Directorate is located in Hazebrouck Barracks and employs approx 130 people, of whom approximately half are military and half MOD civil servants.
