Please note the requirements for Skippers and Mates

 2.                  It is intended that each leg will be crewed by a single unit or headquarters and therefore interested parties must bid for their preferred leg asap using the form at Enclosure 1. Where a unit cannot fully crew a leg there will be opportunity to backfill places with personnel from other units or individuals who declare an interest. Assistance will be given where needed to identify a suitably qualified skipper, particularly for delivery legs[2]

 3.                  The staff work and overarching JSATFA for the exercise will be undertaken centrally to gain overall exercise authority and political clearance; but units will be expected to submit their own JSATFA and CILOR application in order to attract AT funding to assist in the costs for their own legs.

 4.                  Units must nominate a single POC and ensure the personnel selected to crew have a valid passport. Units must also ensure they have sufficient funds to cover the air fares, fuel and charter costs. The exercise is expected to receive full Divisional authority for AT grants. The casts are likely to include the following:

a.      Charter Costs -@£130 per day.

b.      Air fare - £150 - £200 per person ( may be less if using budget airlines).

c.      Fuel Costs - £50 per leg.

d.      RAYC Temp membership - £10 per person (unless already a full member[3]).

e.      Mooring Fees - £400

f.        Miscellaneous Costs - £15 per day.

g.      Food – CILOR

h.      Individual spending money

 5.                  Units and formations are requested to give this activity wide publicity. It may be possible to find places for individuals if a full crew is not available – please ask.

6.           Please click here for the bid form to take part on Atlantis Barbara.
