RAC

THE HOUSEHOLD CAVALRY AND ROYAL ARMOURED CORPS RECRUITING TEAM
The Household Cavalry and Royal Armoured Corps Recruiting Team (HCav & RAC RT) is based in Bovington Camp, Dorset. The team consists of an officer (Captain), a Warrant Officer, a Staff Sergeant and a Sergeant. In addition, there are Junior Non Commissioned Officers and Troopers from all 12 HCav and RAC regiments. Members of the Yeomanry and Cavalry Bands occasionally augment the Team. We are equipped with a Challenger 2 Main Battle Tank and a Striker guided missile vehicle. There is also a large recruiting trailer with interactive virtual reality videos and a tank simulator in the form of a computer game. Although we hold some of the most powerful and most modern vehicles in the British Army, our biggest asset is the quality of our recruiters, in short, our soldiers.

In addition to highlighting the HCav & RAC, we actively recruit across the Army whilst also helping our Bands and sister Yeomanry (or Territorial) Regiments. We achieve this by recruiting nationwide all year round.

In 2006 the team will be covering events throughout the UK including all the HCav and RAC recruiting areas.  The events that we attend are always well publicised about 2 weeks in advance of our arrival. The majority of our time is spent attending Schools and Regional Recruiting events. However, we do have a number of Air shows and County Fetes on our Forecast of Events.
