Central Benevolent Fund

The RMP Central Benevolent Fund (CBF) is a registered Charity and was established in 1944. This is the largest of the funds controlled by RMP RHQ. The Provost Marshal is Chairman of Trustees who, together with a committee of six ex-officio and six elected Trustees controls the fund. The main sources of income for the fund are the Day's Pay Scheme and Investment Income.

The objects of the fund are as follows:

In the assistance or benefit of any such persons serving or have at any time served in the Royal Military Police or being dependants, wives, widows (whether or not having remarried) or issue of persons in the Royal Military Police as from time to time being in need of Charitable assistance or benefit."

Applications for assistance should be made to:

Postal Point 38

All applications are passed to the Royal British Legion or the Soldiers', Sailors' and Airforce Association (Forces Help), who will visit applicants to verify eligibility and financial need. Thereafter the case will be managed by a case worker who will handle all monies donated by the CBF Benevolence Committee.
