That is what a recruit who completes training is worth to you. (£1300 net which is £1000 after tax for a Private soldier)
The first Recruit Bounty Scheme (RBS) trail was launched in December 2005. It was rolled out at short notice but the Coldstream Guard and the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders (5 SCOTS) proved that if you put you mind to it you can achieve good results. The Coldstram Guards signed up 17 potential recruits and the Argylls 12. At £1000 each, that is well worth the effort.
RBS2 has now been launced and will run from 1st June to 30th September 2006. All the Battalions and Training Units should have received the cards and information packs. You now have 4 full months to sign up some potential recruits. The bounty will only get paid after the recruit finishes training (for those who go straight to Catterick or the Army Development Course) or after the DAOR window closes (for under 18s). Keep that in mind when you hand out your cards. You can sign up friends who may have left the Army as a rejoiner and you will still be eligable for the bounty. Each Battalion has been set a target of 60 potential recruits to be signed up during the period of the scheme.
When you fill in the card, you keep the RED part (1). The BLACK part (2) goes to the recruiting office and the other BLACK part (3) is retained by the potential recruit.
THE CARDS ARE ACCOUNTABLE DOCUMENTS. YOU MUST NOT COPY THEM AND YOU MUST INFORM YOUR CHAIN OF COMMAND IF YOU LOSE ONE.
Your unit will have full details and will have issued the cards. If you have any questions regarding the scheme you should approach your chain of command in the first instance but failing that try the following emial so3mr@hqinfantry.co.uk.
Those of you who are on operations will not be given any extension to the RBS period. You may be able to recruit whilst on R&R but it is appreciated your mind may be on other things!

Have you already spent time in the Forces and would like to re-enlist?
The Parachute Regiment and the British Army as a whole is very keen to re-enlist soldiers that have left the Forces. It is easier to re-join than you might think.
The level of re-training required will be dependent on various factors including length of time served, stage of training reached (If depot not completed), length of time out of service and original parent unit( if not Parachute Regiment.)
For example: A former Parachute Regiment soldier who has been out of the Army for a few years may be able to re-join their original Battalion straight from Civvie Street following a medical and interviews.
Or
A young soldier that left before completing Phase 1 training and having been out for more than 9 months would require to attend Recruit Selection Centre and both phases of training.
It will take less time to re-enlist a soldier than to sign someone up from scratch but you need to be aware that things could still take a few months.
If you are interested in re-joining you will need to speak to your local Army Careers Office to get things started.
If you are thinking about re-joining or need some more advice please do not hesitate to contact The Parachute Regiment Recruiting Team on: 01206 782343 or E-mail: recruiting@parachute-regiment.com
If you require any further information, please use this form to submit your details via E-mail to: The Recruitng Team, who will contact you by return of E-mail as soon as possible.
