Exercise EAGLE’S EYE (8-22 Oct) was one of the most important exercises in the Army’s training year involving 16 Air Assault Brigade. Up to 4000 troops, 2000 vehicles and aircraft were involved in exercising the essential aviation and assault skills that are integral to 16 Brigade’s operational capability. The exercise began on Salisbury Plain before moving to take in Northern England and Scotland.

Based in Colchester Garrison, 16 Air Assault Brigade has under its command regiments including The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders and the Parachute Regiment. The Army Air Corps Regiments are also equipped with the new Apache Longbow Attack Helicopter.
