Concert band
The Band of the Army Air Corps in a joint concert in Cyprus in 2006. The setting could not be more impressive at the Curium Theatre in Cyprus.
The bands are all capable of performing as professional symphonic wind bands and the bands can be seen in concert at venues around the world often in support of:
- ABF, The Soldiers Charity
- The Royal British Legion
- Help for Heroes
- and other associated charities such as the Corps of Army Music Trust
The bands are also booked to perform concerts at such events as:
- Regents Park Bandstand
- Eastbourne Bandstand
- Bournmouth Bandstand
- Shrewsbury Flower Show
- County Shows
On some occasions the bands will perform joint concerts whether it be with another British Army Band or perhaps a local wind band. The added bonus of this increase in ensemble size is the extent of the repertoire that can then be performed.
The 'Concerts in the Park' held at The Royal Military School of Music, Kneller Hall, Twickenham, feature over 70 military musicians.
