Who we are
The Corps of Army Music is one of the smallest components of the Army. It provides manpower and skills for all of the bands of the Regular Army. Its centre of excellence and professional home is the Royal Military School of Music at Kneller Hall.
The Headquarters Corps of Army Music shares Kneller Hall with the Royal Military School of Music.
The 23 bands of the Regular Army each comprise 35 musicians less those of the Foots Guards and Royal Artillery, each of which have 49. The 19 bands of the TA (plus the Band of the Gibraltar Regiment) are managed by their Regiments and Corps with support and technical assistance from the Corps of Army Music.
The professional development of musicians is supported by 3 ensembles each of which is managed by HQ CAMUS. Their members are drawn from the bands of the Regular Army and come together for concerts across the UK.
