Happy Birthday Rifleman Williams
On 15 July 2011 the Band and Bugles of The Rifles had the honour of playing 'Happy Birthday' to Rifleman Dean Williams, who was so badly wounded in Afghanistan two years ago that it was thought unlikely he'd survive the medevac flight home. Read the full story.
South Korea - April 2011
The Band and Bugles of The Rifles flew to South Korea at the end of April, primarily to support the 60th Anniversary of the Battle of the Imjin River.
Over a busy 8 day period the Band and Bugles performed at 15 engagements, including at the Gloster Hill Memorial at Solma-ri, the Ministry of National Defense in Seoul, US Army Garrison Yongsan, the UN Memorial Cemetery in Busan and the Commonwealth Memorial in Gapyeong.

If you would like to experience life as an Army Musician, why not join us for an Insight Course?

We will be based at the Royal Military School of Music in Twickenham in October and are looking for people to come along to see what we do.
You will have the chance to take part in marching band, concert band and ensemble rehearsals and may have the opportunity to watch a Guard Mount at Buckingham Palace. All food and accommodation will be provided.
