Queen's Minden fanfares

Performing for the oldest surviving Director of Music

5 May 2010 saw the Band perform for Major Walter Adams as a surprise for his 92nd Birthday at his home near Cambridge. Major Adams joined the Army in 1932 at the age of 14 retiring finally in 1961.  The Band performed some old favourites and one of his own compositions the march 'British Infantry'

Op Herrick

The Band travelled to Afganistan over Christmas 2009 to support the troops with musical support to assist in raising morale at a difficult time of year to be away.  The Band sent a number of ensembles including its soul band - Mind 'n' Soul.  The overriding principal of the deployment was to ensure that CAMUS delivered the sort of music that young military personnel want to hear.  The intent was to take such music as far forward as possible and this was achieved.

Recruiting

The Band is actively recruiting new personnel for both the Band and the Corps.  Any musicians of grade 5 standard and above who would like to visit the Band or attend an 'Insight Course' should contact the Bandmaster:
