Band News
The Band continues to perform all around the UK and is a constant favorite overseas. The photograph shows the band performing on The Edinburgh Tattoo at the Sydney Football Stadium during their most recent tour to Australia in February 2010. Titled "The Edinburgh Military Tattoo - Celebrating 60 Years of Valour, Mateship, Glory" the event took as its central theme the close relationship between Australian and British Defence Forces who have fought alongside each other in numerous conflicts. The Band performed alongside military ensembles from Australia, New Zealand, Russia, China and many more.
The Tattoo, with 1500 performers, returned to Sydney for the first time since 2005 as part of its 60th anniversary celebrations. In Scotland the band can be seen regularly performing at such locations as:
- State ceremonial occasions in Edinburgh
- Guard Mounts at Holyrood Palace
- Edinburgh Castle
