AGC Band look at life course 2011

Members of the Band take a well earned rest after putting their military skills and fitness to the test in the Triple Crown Challenge held at Worthy Down.

Triple Crown 2011

This was a competition open to the whole of the Adjutant General's Corps with the band fielding two four-man teams to take part in marching with weight, shooting and the assault course. Both teams performed valiantly and overall were placed sixth out of 26 sections from across the army. They even managed to perform with the rest of the band at the prize giving ceremony afterwards, which was attended by HRH The Duchess of Gloucester.

Mayor's Charity Concert

In April 2011, the Band performed at the Mayor of Winchester's charity concert in the Guildhall, Winchester. It was a very highbrow occasion and was hosted by the famous broadcaster, Alastair Stewart OBE. Performing both alongside the band and individually were Warrant Officer Class 2 Gary Chilton from The Soldiers and the gospel choir 'SONG'. The night was a huge success judging by the standing ovation at the end and the fact that tickets sold out before the start of the event raising a lot of money for Help for Heroes.
