Golden Hello payments - qualified recruits

The Corps of Army Music has 3 levels of Golden Hello payments available to suitably qualified recruits after completion of training.

Advanced level - £3500

To qualify for the advanced level payment, applicants must hold one of the following:

  • Graduate qualification from:
    • Royal College of Music
    • London College of Music
    • Royal Academy of Music
    • Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Drama
    • Guildhall School of Music and Drama
    • Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama
  • Licentiate Diploma from:
    • Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Drama
    • London College of Music
    • Guildhall School of Music and Drama
    • Associated Board of Royal Schools of Music
  • Music Degree - which has included a significant element of musical performance:
    • BA
    • BA (Hons)
    • BMus
    • PG Cert
    • PG Dip
    • MA
    • MMus
  • Fellowship Diploma:
    • Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Drama
    • London College of Music
    • Associated Board of Royal Schools of Music

Supplementary Level - £2500

To qualify for the supplementary level payment, applicants must hold one of the following:

  • AS Level music
  • A Level music
  • BTEC in music
  • Associate Diploma from:
    • Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Drama
    • London College of Music
    • Associated Board of Royal Schools of Music

Elementary Level - £1250

To qualify for the elementary level payment, applicants must hold one of the following:

  • Grade A-C in GCSE music
  • Grade 6-8 instrumental or vocal from:
    • Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Drama
    • Guildhall School of Music and Drama
    • London College of Music
    • Associated Board of Royal Schools of Music
