Former Light Infantry County Regiments

In 1968 all the former Light Infantry County Regiments were amalgamated to form the modern Light Infantry Regiment.  Each of these former Regiments brought with them a deep sense of honour and tradition.  Today's Regiment continues to respect and build on these traditions and so carries them forward into the 21st Century.

The King's Shropshire Light Infantry (53rd and 85th Foot)

The Herfordshire Light Infantry

The Durham Light Infantry (68th & 106th Foot)

      The Light Infantry 1968-93
