PIPES AND DRUMS

The world renowned Pipes and Drums are an integral part of The King's Own Scottish Borderers Battalion. They train as the Machine Gun Platoon throughout the year whilst continuing to practice and perform at World Class events such as the Edinburgh Military Tattoo. They are a tremendous asset both militarily and musically and are one which sets us apart from many other British Army units.

The Pipes and Drums have completed an extremely busy year of touring which included enormously successful trips to Australia, the USA and the Netherlands. More than most these men live up to the mantra of "Join the Army and see the world". To play infront of thousands of spectators makes this aspect all the more remarkable.
