The Museum of the Manchester Regiment The newly refurbished galleries of the Museum of the Manchester Regiment tell the story of the Manchester Regiment from its formation in 1758 to its amalgamation in 1958 with the King's Regiment (Liverpool) to form the modern King's Regiment.  The Museum's collection is strong throughout the period, in particular in the era of the Boer War.  Full use is made of interactive materials and strong theme is the provision of educational resources for parents and teachers.
