Territorial Army Careers

43b_jackel The Territorial Army (TA) frequently deploys overseas along with the Regular Army on operations and exercises as with members of 6RIFLES who recently deployed to Cyprus for their annual camp for 2 weeks, for more see here. Often formed companies and squadrons go to do a particular task, but many TA soldiers deploy as individuals in a Regular Army regiment, and work directly alongside full-time soldiers.

National TA Units suit people who want to use their civilian skills, such as engineers, chefs or mechanics as well as others who are keen to learn new techniques and procedures. A lot of ex-regular officers and soldiers work in National Units.

TA pay is comparable with their Regular Army Colleagues, the TA also have the added bonus of having a tax free bounty at the end of each financial year providing you have completed your Military Annual Training Tests and have attended the minimum amount of training days (27 for Regional and 19 for National Units).
