Royal Logistic Corps chefs prepare a meal

Getting materials and supplies from A to B and making sure the Army has the equipment it needs is a fundamental requirement. It can involve taking supplies across country to ensure that all soldiers have food and water or backing up our tank and helicopter crews with fuel and ammunition.

Below are examples of the various Corps you can join.

Royal Logistic Corps

  • Distribution Operations: includes drivers, railway operators and postal couriers.

  • Maritime Operations: includes port controllers and seamen.

  • Supply Operations: includes vehicle specialists and supply controllers.

  • Catering Operations: includes chefs, supply specialists, butchers and bakers.

  • Ammunition Technicians: deal with ammunition and terrorist devices, in the UK and abroad.

Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers

  • Regimental Specialists organise communication schemes and design and deliver training courses.

  • Technical Storemen look after and distribute complex equipment needed by the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers unit.

Royal Corps of Signals

  • Royal Signals Drivers lay and test field cables.

  • Royal Signals Technical Supply Specialists are responsible for stock control of technical communications equipment.

Army Air Corps

  • Aviation Support Specialist - includes Ground Crew.

Royal Regiment of Artillery

  • Artillery Logistics - Gunner Artillery Logistics ensure fuel and ammunition are available for the vehicles and weapons of the Royal Artillery.
