Headquarter CompanyCommand/Echelon Company

Headquarter Company consist of the largest company within the Battalion and supports the teeth arms within. It is made up of the following:

Company Commander     Major R Powell Welsh Guards
Company Sergeant Major   WO 2 (CSM) J Dyer
Company Quartermaster Sergeant   C/Sgt (CQMS) G Finch

The Departments are of a various natures and hold the responsibilities that are essential to the running of a Fighting Battalion, with professional skills that vary in all aspect of life.

Some of the departments that make up the Company are the Quartermasters departments consisting of:

  • Main and Technical,
  • Motor Transport Platoon,
  • the Master Chef and his chefs,
  • the Medical facilities,
  • the Administration department, looking after the financial side of matters for all ranks,
  • the Signal Platoon and
  • the gymnasium
