The Rifles Museums at Winchester consist of two Regimental Museums - The Light Infantry and Royal Green Jackets - located together, close to the City Centre and the heart of historic Winchester.
Once the site of a Royal Castle (1067-1645) and Charles II's intended Royal Palace (1682-85), Peninsula Barracks was formerly the recruit training depot of the Green Jackets before being developed for residential use in the 1990s. To see the site alone is worth a visit.
