Band Rehearsal and Engagements
The Bands musicians meet weekly for rehearsal on Wednesday evening in Canterbury, spending the majority of it's time improving their skills and musical diversity, whether it is with the wind band, or one of the many ensembles. In the interests of the bands performance, it is expected that enlisted musicians attend as many rehearsals as possible, but understand that all musicians have to balance their employment and family life.
The music in the rehearsal, often varies from in-depth rehearsals for forthcoming engagements, to sight-reading; whatever form the rehearsal takes, it always ensures that all its musicians are employed and working toward an achievable goal.
The Band fulfils approximately 35 engagements per year, mostly at weekends. The Band have a 15 day annual camp, in 2009 the Band appeared in the Malta Tattoo.
