Music has always been an important part of British military life and within The London Regiment that is no exception.

Musicians support the regiment and the battalion throughout the year, particularly at ceremonial events such as The Lord Mayor's Show and Remembrance Day. Musicians have also deployed on operations to Iraq and Afghanistan as serving TA soldiers.

There are two distinct musical elements within the Regiment, each of which performs at military functions and may be available for public functions.

Pipes & Drums The Pipes and Drums of The London Scottish and the London Irish Rifles are Association bands, although each has serving TA soldiers who play with them. Both bands are well known in London, the Home Counties and abroad and have performed Public Duties in support of the Household Division and at major London events including Beating Retreat.

Corps of Drums The Corps of Drums is made up of serving and Association members of C (City of London Fusiliers) Company of the battalion. The Corps of Drums supports the battalion on operations and ceremonial duties, in the course of which it regularly appears at the Ceremony of the Dues at HM Tower of London, a ceremony conducted whenever a Royal Navy ship enters the Pool of London.
