Antecedent Colours

The antecedent Regimental Colours, have been replaced in a special ceremony by HRH The Duke of York, the Colonel of the Regiment, 18 June 2010.  Thereafter, each stand of antecedent Colours have been laid up in accordance to Regimental custom.

YORKS Antecedent Colours

The 1st Battalion's Antecedent Colours 

The Colours of the 1st Battalion The Prince of Wales's Own Yorkshire Regiment were laid up in York Minster on 2 October 2010

 

The 2nd Battalion's Antecedent Colours 

The Colours of the 1st Battalion The Green Howards (Alexandra, Princess of Wales' Own Yorkshire Regiment) are due to be laid up in St Mary's Church, Richmond on 22 May 2011 

 

The 3rd Battalion's Antecedent Colours 

The Colours of the 1st Battalion The Duke of Wellington's Regiment were laid up in Halifax Minster on 26 June 2010

 

The 4th Battalion's Antecedent Colours 

The Colours of the 3rd Battalion The Prince of Wales's Own Yorkshire Regiment were laid up in York Minster on 2 October 2010

The Colours of the 1st Battalion The Yorkshire Volunteers are due to be laid up on 12 December 2010 

The Colours of the 3rd Battalion The Yorkshire Volunteers are due to be laid up on 12 December 2010
