The Infantry Recruiting Team

The Infantry Recruiting Team (IRT) is a heavy recruting team which is designed to assist the local Regimental Recruitng Teams (RRTs) in recruting.  The IRT does this by providing extra marketing material but also by bringing along items such as deactivated weapons,  Light Strike Vehicle  Small Arms Trainer (SAT) in an inflatable range and the Warrior Armoured Fighting Vehicle.

The Assault Pioneers is one rout to gaining civilian recognised qualifications in the Infantry

The Team is not a stand alone recruitng asset as it does not hand out committed recruit cards or take potential recruits to the local Army Careers Office.  What it does is provide resources  that RRTs cannot afford and works closely with the RRTs to enhance their profile.

The IRT travels the length and breadth of the UK throughout the year in support of local recruiting teams, sporting events, regional exhibitions, county and local shows, charity events and open days.  If you think your event would benefit from IRT participation, please call Captain Ed Brooks on 01985 222262 to discuss your requirements or write to:
