ADVENTUROUS TRAINING CENTRE (CJSATC)

 

CJSATC is a tri-service adventurous training centre located in Dhekelia (ESBA) and Akrotiri (WSBA).

The centre boasts a wealth of outdoor adventurous training activities, including Parachuting, Sub Aqua Diving, Sea Kayaking, Off-Shore Sailing, Rock-Climbing, and Gliding. Unit Group Adventurous Training (UGAT) is also available.

These activities are, predominantly provided for British Forces serving in Cyprus; however, United Nations and exercising troops can get involved depending on availability.

CJSATC MISSION

To provide MOD sponsored Adventure Training Courses for BFC personnel at progressive levels.

 

To advise and assist units in adventurous training matters and similarly for visiting expeditions.

COURSES

CJSATC offers a number of courses; these generally concentrate on building and improving the leadership qualities of students. The instructors who teach these activities are all qualified to the highest standards, and are members of the UK national governing body in their pursuit.
