Most of the artifacts in Balhousie Castle have been donated to the Regiment, some have been bought and a very few are on loan.

Medals
The policy is to have all orders, decorations and medals which have been presented to the Museum available for viewing. 

Photographs/Written Material/Cinema Film/Video
With modern technology it is relatively simple to copy these types of items. If you wish to retain the originals arrangements can be made to have a copy for the Museum/Archives. 

Purchases 
It is entirely due to the generosity of the general public and of those connected with The Black Watch that the Regiment has been able to buy important items for the Collection.  You can assist towards future purchases by a donation or legacy to:

It will be most gratefully received. The value of your donation can be increased by “Gift Aid” if you are a taxpayer in the UK. Please ask for details. 

Loans 
These cause considerable extra work and responsibility for the Museum staff. Items are only accepted on loan if they are of exceptional interest - or on a short term basis for temporary exhibitions.
