Based in London and being one of the five Foot Guards Bands of The Household Division, The Welsh Guards can regularly be seen at the ceremony of Changing The Guard at Buckingham Palace, Trooping The Colour and many other State and Ceremonial occasions.

The Band regrets to
report the sad passing of Major Derek Taylor. Maj Taylor
emigrated to Australia soon after his retirement and has lived there
ever since. He had been undergoing treatment for cancer since before
Christmas but sadly died on Sunday 16th March. A memorial service will
be held for Major Derek Taylor at the Guards Chapel. For more

From the 23rd of April, 2008 the website will be undergoing a dramatic change. This is due to a change in the Army Web Structure. We are hoping the changes will not be too severe and are looking to be back up and running in the not to distant future.
The Bands newest CD is titled Music of the Welsh Guards. The CD includes the Welsh Guards Regimental and Company Marches, as well as many more well known traditional welsh songs. To find out more CD and sale information please click HERE
