Band

Army Air Corps Band musicians

The Band of the Army Air Corps was formed in 1993.  It was created from a nucleus of the former Royal Artillery Alanbrooke Band and volunteers from bands of other Corps and Regiments.  The Corps Band is located at the Army Aviation Centre, Middle Wallop.

During its short history the Band of the Army Air Corps has earned a reputation for musical excellence and as such has been invited to appear at an ever-increasing number of high profile events. This has included the D-Day anniversaries in Normandy and Arnhem, performances at the British Embassies in Athens, Vienna, and Bratislava, and opening the Tynwald Parliament in the Isle of Man.

The Band has also taken part in Ceremonial events at Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle and the Tower of London. Engagements further a field have included Cyprus, Germany, America, Bosnia, Dubai and Afghanistan for Remembrance Services during November 2010.
