Training

Lichfield Training8

The Regiment is one of four Training Regiments that train all Standard Entry (SE) non-infantry recruits joining the Army. Within the Regiment there are two squadrons. Each squadron has four troops. You will be allocated to a troop, the size of which is normally 48 men.

Your initial training (Phase 1) is a 14 week course. This is known as Common Military Syllabus for Standard Entry – CMS(SE). During the first week we will assess you to ensure you are ready, both physically and mentally to progress through the rest of the course. Your physical health will be assessed through medical and dental checks.
