A Close knit Regiment
101 Regiment Royal Artillery is a close knit and thriving Regiment which trains on and deploys with some of the Army's most advanced Artillery systems. Regularly exercising overseas as well as playing a full part in operations with soldiers having served in Iraq, Afghanistan, Cyprus and the Balkans over recent years. However there is more than just military training with members enjoying a range of social, sporting and adventurous training opportunities.
Multi equipped
101 Regiment are a multi equipped Artillery Regiment that provides support to the Regular Army. Two batteries are equipped with Multi Launch Rocket Systems (MLRS), a highly manoeuvrable tracked vehicle capable of launching 12 rockets at a time to a range of 20 miles. A further two batteries provide the Surveillance and Target Acquisition that delivers real time battlefield intelligence. Providing a vast array of technical opportunities and specialist roles and enabling this through progressive training. Every Gunner will be trained as a combat soldier and a career in the Royal Artillery will be full of variety. There is a vast range of opportunities available and the Artillery has the latest high-tech computerised electronic equipment which gives you a wide choice of career path, individuals can train as Chefs, Combat Medical Technicians and HR Administrators. You can even join our Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Detachment and train in an artisan trade such as a vehicle mechanic.
Territorial Army
Whoever you are, whatever your ambitions, you can achieve them with a full time career in the Regular Army or during your spare time with the Territorial Army.
