Employment

www.careerjet.co.uk - In one simple search, Careerjet gives the job seeker access to a massive selection of jobs that are compiled from various internet sources, saving the trouble of having to visit each site individually.

www.enterprisenation.com - a free resource to help you start and grow your business at home. You'll find all the information you need to get started and get growing.

www.jobcentreplus.gov.uk - Advice and help on job hunting plus extra support.

www.guardian.co.uk - This covers a huge range of jobs, but is especially good for charities and secretarial positions.

www.jobs.ac.uk - For jobs in Adult and Further Education, not just as a tutor but all admin, finance and other support staff.

www.worktrain.gov.uk - This is the government site for jobs. You can also look for government jobs based abroad, which may prove useful if you have been posted overseas.

www.jobsworld.co.uk - This is an unusual site, as it doesn’t have any jobs itself, but is a list of all the other job sites around, so you can find out if there is a special place to look for your type of work e.g. working with children, working in languages, working for banks etc. It’s very useful as a specific site for your industry is likely to have the best choice of jobs than a more general one.

www.jobability.com - This is a site especially for disabled people; it has vacancies with companies that meet a variety of needs.
