ACCOMMODATION

Depending on whether an individual is married accompanied, married unaccompanied or single, accommodation will be allocated by either the unit QM, Mess or relevant Station Staff Office.
Single or unaccompanied officers, warrant officers and SNCOs.
Accommodation should be booked through the unit Officers' or WOs' & Sgts' Mess, via the PMC. Officers, WOs and SNCOs of minor units should check first with units as to which mess is affiliated to their unit. Generally, units without their own mess use the station messes in Hohne or Fallingbostel.
Single or unaccompanied soldiers.
Barrack accommodation is allocated by unit QM departments and is, without exception, in camp. Contact with units is advisable prior to departure from previous units to ensure accommodation and unaccompanied baggage details have been addressed.
Married accompanied service personnel.
A10s should be submitted as a matter of routine to the Station Staff Office of the unit's station. Floor plans of many SFA houses are now available on request to allow individuals the opportunity to plan early for wharfing as necessary. It should be noted that the majority of quarters in the Garrison are flats, rather than houses, and therefore any personal circumstances which need to be taken into consideration as a result, should be included on A10s.
Personnel whose MARSTAT is 2-4.
Where necessary, service personnel whose MARSTAT is categories 2, 3 or 4 should contact their new unit's UWO in good time for advice on accommodation. Where possible, units and SSOs will allocate accommodation according to individual entitlement.
