CO's STANDING OBJECTIVES

 

MANNING

 

All funded posts within the Battalion are to be manned with appropriately trained, qualified and experienced personnel. This can only be achieved if all ranks take an active part in recruiting and retention within a work environment that is committed to equal opportunities and investing in people.

 

Welfare 

 

I expect all ranks to be happy and healthy when under the care of the Battalion. This demands a modern and well developed infrastructure of welfare and entertainment facilities coupled with a caring and responsive welfare/medical system. 

 

Pride & Publicity

 

All Ranks must have pride in every thing they do so they and the Battalion are always shown in the best possible light. This will actively contribute to our positive image inj the eyes of the general public and the rest of The Armed Forces. It will be a cornerstone in maintaining our justifiable high profile and achieving our recruiting targets.

 

Security

 

All ranks are to ensure they adopt a level of personal, Collective, Equipment and Document security that is appropriate to the threat at all times.

 

Training

 

All Training is to be demanding, varied and imaginative, enjoyable and appropriate making efficent use of all available resources. The Training, education and development of individuals is a chain of command responsibility.

  

SPORT

 

All Ranks are to be given every opportunity to enjoy

themselves and fulfill their potential in the sport or adventurous 

Procedures

All procedures, doctrinal, administrative and operational, are to be relevant, up to date, efficent, effective, safe and understood by all ranks.

Equipment

All equipment is to be stored, maintained, handled, utilised and accounted for, to the highest possible standards of safety and effectiveness.

The Estate

All buildings, offices and accommodation used by the Battalion, either permanently or temporarily, are to be maintained to the highest possible standards of cleanliness, efficiency, utility and safety.

The community and the environment

The utmost care and consideration is to be given at all times to the community and the environment whether on or off duty. This demands a proactive approach to preparation, planning and liaison.

The Commanding Officer's overriding aim is to:

"ensure that all personnel are excited, entertained, challenged, rewarded and developed by their Territorial Army Service"
