40th Regiment Royal Artillery is committed to supporting the Education and Personal Development ambitions of our soldiers which forms part of our overall Investors In People (IiP) strategy.
In providing that support the Regiment has its very own Learning Centre (LC), where currently soldiers from the Regiment are undertaking and completing a wide range of professionaly recognised courses in Information Technology (IT).
Our Learning Centre caters for all levels of knowledge in IT ranging from beginner's level computer skills courses to advanced graphics, web design applications and in addition to all these the theory to Fork Lift Truck Operators qualifications.
The LC is located in the Training Wing and is available for all soldiers. The Facilities available include 11 workstations with free Internet Access.

The LC offers online courses through Learn Direct, many leading to civilian qualifications:
Numeracy & Literacy Level 1 and Level 2
Computer Literacy And Information Technology (CLAIT)
European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL)
Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS)
There are also taught courses for new CLAIT (5 days) which is suitable to beginners to IT.
The Learning Centre can provide you with up to date information on the wide range of courses on offer including language courses and additionally provide you with the details of the different types of funding available for soldiers education (Standard & Enhanced Learning Credits).
