ACE believes in a fair education system for all. We provide independent advice to parents/carers of children in state-funded schools who are experiencing difficulties such as bullying, SEN, admissions and exclusion from school. We reach 100,000 families each year through our telephone advice lines, information booklets and website.
Children missing out on educational opportunities are at a serious disadvantage. This is bad for our communities and society as a whole. We all have a role to play in giving children the best start in life and we work collaboratively with families, schools, local authorities, education professionals, funders and other key stakeholders to achieve this.
Reduced funding means that we have to make some changes to our advice line. Calls to our advice line are still free but our opening hours are reduced with fewer advisers available to answer calls. To help callers access advice when our advice line is busy or closed they will be given the option of transferring their call to other organisations that may be able to help. Demand for our advice line increases each year and we know that there are many more families who need our help especially at a time of so much change in the education system.
ACE has been providing free independent advice to parents for over 50 years but the economic climate is making it harder for organisations like us to raise the money we need to do this. We want to ensure that all families have access to quality advice and support when they need it. To make this possible we are asking you to support us by making a donation.
