Biography of the Coroner
His Honour Judge Michael Baker QC was in born 1943 and is married with two daughters. He was awarded a BA in Jurisprudence from Brasenose College, Oxford. He was called to the Bar in 1966 where he practiced in general common law. His Honour Judge Baker QC was appointed Queens Counsel in 1990 and as a circuit judge in 1995.
He was a recorder of the Crown Court 1991 – 1995, he is currently the resident Judge at St Albans Crown Court, Hertfordshire.
His Honour Judge Baker QC was appointed Deputy Lieutenant for Hertfordshire in 2008.
