Fire and Rescue

The key objective for the Fire and Rescue Service Directorate at ODPM is to modernise the Fire and Rescue Service in England, in line with the June 2003 White Paper and the National Framework.

The key target for the Fire and Rescue Service Directorate is the delivery of our new Public Service Agreement target, PSA 3.

The FRS newsletter is ODPM's news magazine for the Fire and Rescue Service, providing up-to-date news on what is happening in the fire and rescue services throughout England and Wales.

Read more about ODPM's aims to modernise the service and to reduce fire-related deaths and arson by 2010.
