Kosovo: Lessons from the crisis

In March 1999, NATO launched Operation ALLIED FORCE, and air operations against Yugoslavia began. This paper sets out the background to the crisis and explains why the UK and NATO had to intervene and give an assessment of how we performed and gives details of the lessons we have learned and are implementing for the future.
