There is an Independent Monitoring Board attached to every prison and immigration removal centre in England and Wales. If you are not sure where your nearest IMB is you can find out by using the links below:
If you do not specify a Board when you contact us, we will conduct a search to find the one nearest to your home address and send you details along with your application pack.
Independent Monitoring Boards now monitor short-term holding facilities at UK airports and holding rooms. At present, there is an IMB at Heathrow; North and Midlands (covering Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham and Leeds) and Glasgow and Edinburgh.
