Becoming a member of your local Independent Monitoring Board (IMB)

There are currently over 1,850 IMB members attached to prisons, immigration removal centres and short-term holding facilities throughout England and Wales, and vacancies arise on a regular basis.

Further down in this section you can find out what sort of people become IMB members, what you can expect to get out of the role and how you can apply to join us.

The IMB exhibits at Forum 3, the recruitment exhibition for the non-for-profit sector held annually at the Business Design Centre, Islington.
