What are your rights and responsibilities?

On 23 March 2009 the Government published a Green Paper called ‘Rights and Responsibilities: developing our constitutional framework’. The Consultation on Rights and Responsibilities closed on 26 February.

There is also a report on the series of public events which took place between October 2009 and February 2010. At these events, participants discussed various elements of constitutional reform including a Bill of Rights and Responsibilities and a written constitution.

A summary of responses to the Green Paper on Rights and Responsibilities has been published today. We are also publishing today an independent report setting out the findings from the programme of deliberative engagement, ‘People and Power: shaping democracy, rights and responsibilities’.
