Further Education (FE) Public Information
'New Challenges, New Chances', (the Department for Business, Innivation and Skills, 2011), sets out the Department's intention to work in partnership with the sector, over the next one-two years, to develop a new FE Public Information framework. This will strengthen the information that is made available to the public, so that learners and employers can make better informed choices about where to learn or train.
The framework is likely to consist of:

The purpose of the Performance Indicators is to provide consistent and comparable information for learners and employers to help them make informed choices about post-16 education and training and to provide consistent management information on key performance indicators for all post-16 providers.
The Performance Indicators have been designed in consultation with the sector and our partners including the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, the Department for Education and also Ofsted.
These pages provide access to the latest news, information, updates and developments; including guidance on implementation for providers. We encourage all interested parties to check these pages on a regular basis.

Dissemination and Publication of 2010/11 FfE Outputs
Framework for Excellence (FfE) scores for 2010/11 will be shared with providers in December through the IM Services Portal. Many providers already use this portal, but if you have not set up an account, or experience difficulties with access, please contact us for assistance.
This release will allow providers to check their data and raise any questions or concerns with the Agency prior to publication on the Public Information website in January 2012.

2011/12….
The current Performance Indicators will be used as the basis for collecting data in the 2011/12 year, to update the Public Information website. The Skills Funding Agency is currently in the process of confirming details for the implementation of the surveys in 2011/12 and further information on these will be available in soon.
