Economic
Analysis
The
International Economics Team in Europe and World Trade directorate
provides economic advice on trade policy, trade disputes,
European economic reform and globalisation.
The
team aims to provide objective analytical work and practical
evidence to help policy makers form UK policy on a wide
range of issues. In doing so we draw heavily on work conducted
by economists in a wide range of institutions and countries.
A
significant proportion of our time has been spent in contributing
to the Doha Development Round of international trade negotiations.
We are currently involved in exploring policy options,
which will allow further progress in the Round and are seeking
to assess what are the developmental implications of
those options.
We
very much welcome inquiries from economists who would like
to discuss our work and their own.
Unfortunately
we will not be able to respond for individual requests for
help with school/college work.
